WEEK 5 TRAINING

The 5th week of training included 6 x 400's with 1 min rest and 3 x 800's with 3 mins rest at Eastern Gardens. A tough session due to climbing the hill into the breeze in the 800's.

Wednesday was skills with the goal umpires showing the way with a very professional set-up and even Granty doing the running.

Great to see Hoody leading the goal umpires around on their time trial at VLine academy on Monday.

Welcome to Alex Neville and Daniel Clemm who have relocated to Geelong for study and are also part of the VLine academy.

Goal umpire and field umpire leadership groups have been completed.

Clubs conducting practice matches must use the 2010 Practice Match Booking Form to request the allocation of umpires. The form is located in the Handy Docs section.

ALL UMPIRE MEETING 4 FEBRUARY

The first All Umpire training session was held last night - 4 Feb - the recorded attendance of 16 field and 6 boundary umpires was disappointing - 11 goal umpires not a bad effort.

All members are reminded that meeting attendace is taken into account in the attendance policy.

Development Coach - Jock Hillgrove - delivered a presentation on Leadership within the GFUL a copy is posted in Handy Docs.

UMPIRE EXCHANGE POLICY
