Three young GFUL female Field Umpires have been invited to officiate in the AFL National Womens Championships to be held in Canberra  9th – 14th July 2007.
Leigh Davis, who is 28 years old, will be accompanied by 20 year olds, Jacqui Ginn and Louise Darbyshire to the Championships.   All three were nominated by the GFUL for their undoubted ability and to provide them with an opportunity to experience umpiring at a National level.   V ictoria has by far the greatest representation with four umpires, 3 from Geelong and 1 from Warrnambool.   Umpires invited from other states include WA (1), Qld (1), NT (1)  and ACT (1).  Congratulations to Leigh, Jacqui and Louise.
